"Song of Siberian Detention"
lyrics: Jingo Sakuraghi
music: Akira Ambo
Thousands of miles away from the country
There is no news at all, even from the geese in the sky
Imprisoned in the back of Siberia
Inside my heart is dreaming about my motherland
Who knows the starry moon night
On the day and night, I can see fathers and mothers who pray for our safety putting their old hands together
And I can imagine innocent children who are opening their eyes wide, looking forward to their father's returning
Fought the battle of the century
My wounded and fallen motherland
What floats on each other's hearts is
Millions of heroic spirits and
The lament of the blood of friends in white coats
The compatriots who stand up to a new country in the burnt soil of the swirling war disaster
The sound of the hammer resounds
It resounds beyond the sea and mountains

(my grandma’s note)
Think of my country in the back of Siberia
Inside of a Yamato man's mind
