Do not sit on the floor in Japan. People hate about that because it's not really hygiene and look like teenage bad kids.
I was scolded by a middle school teacher when I sat on the floor when I was 14, and I resented because I used to the life outside of Japan. But now I can understand the feeling of the teacher. It's just bad manner in Japan.
Also, you should not put chopsticks directly on the table. https://www.nekoyamanga.com/entry/chopstickscleanliness_

Some American person said "Shinjuku has many Japanese doing it , even camping overnight there." but, in my opinions, Tokyo, especially Shinjuku and Shibuya are different countries from Japan. lol
Frustrated Japanese countryside youth are gathered and do whatever they like mimicking outside of Japan.
And most of the people who live in outside of Tokyo hate Tokyo. 😂
Humans are struggling with being free and beautiful with compassion.
